Realizing that the general public usually doesn’t have the time to research the relationships that build County Government, Citizens for Exposing Corruption in Allegheny County’s (CECAC) website will help the taxpayers of Allegheny County "connect the dots" to see where their money is being spent, who got the contract, and why.

What separates CECAC’s website from other websites that explore government abuse is the fact that all the information is verifiable, having been obtained through the press, County, State and Federal records - any source available through the Freedom of Information Act. It is anticipated that the website’s upcoming "follow the money" feature will be very popular as it will link campaign contributions to appointed government positions, grant fund distributions and government contract awards.

Visitors to CECAC’s website are encouraged to submit facts of their own, providing that they are linked to a verifiable source that is provided with the fact. CECAC’s theory is "if they realize somebody’s watching, they’ll make the right decision".
